In the early 1970s, Bazooka Gum put panels of three player cards on the outside of their gum boxes. The cards matched the 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee design, and re-used the same pictures, but the dimensions were slightly smaller.
These are super scarce, I suspect because many of the boxes were simply broken down and thrown away by grocery and corner store employees stocking shelves. They fetch a hefty price when they do surface; the intact box at right sold for $25,000 at a show in Chicago a few years ago – more on that here.
Since it's certainly quite a far cry from mainstream, I don't consider this set as part of my goal but, like 1966-67 Topps USA Test, it's fun to dream.
