There were several big trades that happened after the first print run of 1975-76 O-Pee-Chee had been completed, and they decided to announce the deals on the cards of the players involved. They did this by literally stopping the presses, adding "Traded to" stamps on the front of the cards, and then moving on. So, there are two variations of four different cards in the set that involve the Bruins (there are several other cards that also had trade results added to the front, but I don't care about those). The four cards are of the players involved in a blockbuster deal between the Bruins and the Rangers:
- #27 Carol Vadnais
- #200 Phil Esposito
- #243 Jean Ratelle
- #260 Brad Park
The variations with the stamp on the front of the cards are hard to find, and currently only offered at a substantial premium. I found slightly beat-up copies of Brad Park and Carol Vadnais walking into a random strip mall card store in Gatineau, and spent $2 total on those, but coughed up a bit more for Phil Esposito and Jean Ratelle on eBay.
